The recent revelation that Kawhi Leonard is looking for a way to get out of the San Antonio Spurs has brought forward an onslaught of teams preparing a package to offer for the injured star.
While many can offer a lot more than what the New York Knicks can, according to ESPN’s Ian Begley, those close to him have “expressed a desire” for him to play in New York.
Leonard’s personal preference has been said to be his native Los Angeles, as the Lakers boast the necessary cap space to sign two max-level free agents this offseason. Yet he will be competing with another two big-time free agents in LeBron James and fellow L.A. native Paul George — both bound to make decisions on their future this very offseason.
