Marketing
In December 2014, on the stage at Pinewood Studios during the launch of Spectre, Aston Martin and Eon unveiled the new DB10 as the official Bond car for the film, the DB10 was designed in collaboration between Aston Martin and the filmmakers, with only ten being produced especially for the film as a celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the company's association with the franchise.[27]
To promote the film, production continued the trend established during Skyfall's production of releasing still images of clap boards on the franchise's official Twitter account.[28]
It was announced on 15 December 2014 that Sony Pictures had signed a multi-million pound deal with Belvedere vodka for the film.[29]
Release
Spectre is due to be released worldwide on 6 November 2015.[30][31]

The production of Skyfall was suspended throughout 2010 because of MGM's financial troubles.[274] Eon resumed pre-production following MGM's exit from bankruptcy on 21 December 2010 and in January 2011 the film was given official approval, with production scheduled to start in late 2011.[275] The film's budget is estimated to be between $150 million[276] and $200 million,[277] compared to the $200 million spent on Quantum of Solace.[278]
Skyfall was directed by Sam Mendes, who first signed on to the project shortly after Quantum of Solace was released, and remained on board as a consultant during the period of uncertainty surrounding MGM's financial situation. Speculation in the media suggested that Mendes had commissioned rewrites of the script to "[remove] action scenes in favour of 'characterful performances'", with the intention of bidding for an Academy Award.[279] Mendes denied the reports, stating that the film's planned action scenes were an important part of the overall film.
